Gregory co-starred with Bette Davis in  the Lux Radio Theatre’s recreation of Davis’ most popular tear-jerker Now, Voyager in February 1946. Davis recalled the experience years later, saying:

“What a nightmare! We always had audiences in the studio for these performances. Peck was madly worshipped by his fans—especially his female fans. Every time he read a line, they squealed with joy.”
